I've always been impressed by the fact that switching from a 48-pitch gear to a 32-pitch gear on Traxxas 2-wheel RC vehicles has been a challenge due to the lack of a suitable gear cover design, until now. I'm not taking all the credit for this innovative design, however, as I obtained the CAD file from DavidCalado, a user on Thingiverse, who had designed a two-wheel conversion that included a gear cover. One of his photos showed the gear cover installed on his converted Traxxas Slash buggy, which sparked my interest and led me to download his files. I made some minor adjustments to one of his CAD files by extending it to provide more room for the redesigned gear cover, which is specifically designed to accommodate 32-pitch spur gears that are popular among Traxxas 2-wheel vehicle enthusiasts. If you're interested in upgrading your RC vehicle with this gear cover, you'll need the Traxxas stock gear cover part number 3792 and a rubber plug from your RC vehicle or purchase one separately.
