To meet the 20 Nm torque requirement, a minimum gear ratio of 572 is necessary. Assuming an efficiency level of 75%, the gear ratio increases to 770 after rounding up. In this design, a gear ratio of 823 can be achieved. Additionally, the required RPM range is between 1 and 1.5, inclusive. The gearbox output falls within this range, from 0.6 to 1.2 RPM. All assembly and disassembly operations are feasible along the Z-axis. To enhance structural integrity, additional ribs and standoffs have been incorporated into the plastic case. A total of seven spur gears are present (four identical ones, resulting in four distinct gear types), accompanied by four smooth 4 mm shafts for gear engagement. Two spacers or bushings and one bearing are also included, along with screws for securing the motor and top cover.
