Gear Art Parts
thingiverse
Drawn in inches, this is a complex assembly of gears and parts that I created for my son's moving gear art piece. The loose-fitting gears are expertly designed to work together seamlessly. This set includes an Arcamèdes screw with pinion gears, a piston and cylinder, connecting rod, and air tank with gauge. A 12-volt, 10 RPM geared motor powers the entire system, providing a smooth and efficient operation. Various holes are strategically placed for shoulder screws and bearings, ensuring precise alignment and stability. The entire assembly is securely mounted on 1/4 inch acrylic, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. To give the parts a realistic look, I used Gunmetal Metalizer paint with subtle smudges of Rust paint to create a weathered effect. Unfortunately, I'm unable to share the video of it in operation, but rest assured that it's truly impressive. This project is perfect for enthusiasts looking for a challenging and engaging printing project.
