I created this Italian fishing boat (with passion and no visual references, so with no pretense of loyalty to the original) because I wanted to design something extremely difficult to print, and honestly, I'm not even sure if this boat can be printed at all. Currently, I'm on vacation and haven't had a chance to try printing it yet. All I have is my trusted Macbook Air and Autodesk Fusion 360 here. I don't think FDM technology is suitable for this task, but I believe it will be easier to attempt with an SLA or DLP printer. That's why when I return home, I'll try to print it with my Anycubic Photon. Obviously, the design needs to be resized to the desired size, smaller if printed in DLP, and possibly larger if printed in FDM. However, I make no promises of a guaranteed result. You'll need a good printer, a brave maker, and plenty of patience because the design presents significant difficulties, especially regarding overhangs and the precise study of supports. Even with all that effort, it may not be possible to produce a satisfactory copy of this test boat. I've dedicated my work to Genoa and its victims for the tragic collapse of the Morandi Bridge (14 August 2018). So I've published two versions: one with inscriptions on the base in memory of this tragedy, and the other with a completely smooth base.
