The GE Quick Connect features modified side walls in its quick snap Cavity rear clamping clips for plastic injection molding. A profiled seal is firmly embedded within the added Cavity profile. Additionally, an omni-directional wedge labyrinthine combination exists at the pressure seal level within the brick. The seal material is made of either silicone or nanopolymer without shape memory effect, while the brick and Cavity are constructed from urethane and injection molded plastic, respectively. Stress and displacement analysis under a 3-bar load pressure show positive results for tightness; crucial locations exhibit deformations not exceeding 0.5mm. The applied labyrinth construction seals ensure tightness even with expected scale of deformation.
