GE Quick Connect's innovative design ensures swift, easy assembly with a secure seal meeting specified requirements. Modifications were made to the cavity and brick, as detailed in the attached PDF. Upon locking the brick into place by pushing it into the cavity, the neoprene or silicon seal expands slightly under pressure. The seal covers most of the cavity and brick walls for effective sealing. To remove the assembly, six snap tabs on the cavity must be broken, which may make the cavity sacrificial but prevents potential future failures due to weakened snaps.
