The original does NOT fit the included GE Opal 2 countertop ice maker scoop. It is about .75" too short and the width is a bit too snug.I didn't like how short the bottom scoop portion was.I needed it to be taller and wider anyway to fit the factory scoop so redesigned to be taller on the bottom half for both functionality and aesthetics.
