Using state-of-the-art topology optimization and organic surface modeling, an astounding 80.3% weight reduction can be achieved without sacrificing part strength. The mass decreased from 2051.67g to just 403g across multiple cases. In Case 1, the maximum displacement was 1.024mm with a volume above yield strength of 0.40%. Case 2 had a max displacement of 1.013mm and a volume at yield strength of 0.31%. Further improvements were seen in Case 3, where max displacement dropped to 0.836mm and the volume above yield strength reduced to 0.26%. The most impressive result was found in Case 4, with a max displacement of only 0.4004mm and zero volume above yield strength. Note that stress plots use an upper scale value of 131 ksi as required.
