We Need a Braking System for Giant Elevators! Giant elevators are huge! And I was riding in one once and suddenly my friend shouted "Hold on tight" because we were approaching some steep ground that I wasn't even sure existed! He started yanking at something beneath our seats to get the elevator stopped from descending even further. The control panel was screaming red signals saying stop but the buttons weren't working. My palms got super sweaty but eventually my friend's antics succeeded and our carriage screeched on an unexpected, sharp deceleration which scared the daylights out of us. As a rider that's exactly how terrifying is when you think your giant elevator might end up going "thud" due to the mechanical failures happening unexpectedly. A human in one instance said "Can I ask you a thing about our system today?" The human mentioned they're worried about getting their hand hurt from grabbing things like my seat handle all wrong. In case of sudden failure during descent the safety brakes can come in very handy so people are kept out safe even on the most critical times, for their good safety. That really makes us all breathe again a little better right there because nobody enjoys thinking over life threatening events all the time. The main idea here isn't only about comfort though it has its significance as well! You might feel a sudden need to call your family when they come up close so your family sees everything works properly.
