In the revised 'GE Bracket - 02 - AJC' design, I have made adjustments to fit within the original part envelope. To further reduce weight, I added a series of holes in the top skin, which should distribute stress and strain effectively through the interconnecting web of material. Circles are an efficient shape for this purpose. The new model has reduced weight/volume by 72% compared to the original GE part, equating to 28% of its mass/volume.
