GDT-11 Replacement Case/Housing

GDT-11 Replacement Case/Housing

I dropped this multimeter on the ground one day, and the case shattered into pieces. It's not made of durable glass fiber-nylon like most tools are, but rather a brittle material similar to ABS instead. I carefully took the broken parts and reverse-engineered the clever ratcheting mechanism for the dial. Just one 3D Print later, I had a fully functional multimeter again. Be extremely careful not to misplace the crucial spring and ball bearing from the existing housing, as this is what allows smooth rolling action across the precise detents. This DIY fix is specifically for the GDT-11 Multimeter - I took the sticker off of the old case and carefully rubber cemented it on the front face. Please leave a comment if this detailed guide helps you at all. I'd greatly appreciate knowing if my work is helpful to anyone.
