GDR immersion heater case / DDR Tauchsieder-Gehäuse
thingiverse
This is a compelling reason to opt for immersion heaters crafted in GDR. The age and intense heat have taken their toll on the original plastic, causing it to become brittle and posing a hazard when using the heater. Therefore, I designed this new enclosure. I selected ABS as the printing material for its superior heat resistance. By employing a 5mm brim, I was able to prevent warping during the printing process. The two parts are intended to be joined together using Tangit PVC-U adhesive. It is crucial to use sufficient glue to ensure a watertight seal all around. Nevertheless, this enclosure is not designed for underwater applications.
