Update December 2017 We added a fresh textured flame and revamped our thumbnail. The rocket was printed in Polyalchemy Silver Elixir PLA. Update: We updated the model to perfection. It is now hollow, free of errors when simplified with Simplify3D, and features flat bridges under curved fins for easier printing on most machines. We also removed the center booster support so you must add support below the main nozzle or the print will not succeed. This rocket comes in four parts and each one fits together perfectly. We have printed this model in various filaments including Colorfabb PLA, colorfabb bronzefill, woodfill, ABS, glow-in-the-dark, and several others. The bronzefill is definitely our favorite choice. Check out our site for more free models http://www.gcreate.com The model was created in 3ds Max 2011 but due to export/unit issues, the model is scaled up by 2540%. You may need to scale down by .0393701 depending on your slicer software. In slic3r 1.1.6 it works flawlessly. An interesting note: the smoke is actually a particle simulation in 3ds Max which I used meta particles and then heavily modified as a mesh. New Download!
