GCode Viewer for Android
thingiverse
A student at Germany's University of Applied Sciences in Lemgo developed an app for visualizing GCode created by Slic3r, specifically for RepRap and Makerbot 3D printers. The app can also color-code GCode when verbose GCode is enabled in Slic3r. View a demonstration of the app here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWZBLxS9sF8. In an update, the developer mentioned that their Lenovo IdeaTab with Android 4.0.3 caused the app to crash and they plan on updating it for compatibility with more devices. However, due to exams and a bachelor thesis, progress has been slow. The latest version of the app can be downloaded from https://bitbucket.org/bifi5590/android-gcode-viewer, though 3D visualization requires Android 2.2 or newer and currently does not work on Motorola Milestone and Samsung Galaxy S2 due to OpenGL ES 1.1 or GL_LINE_STRIP. The developer plans to publish the source code after their exam results are in.
