GBS 8200 Control - with LCD and 3.5mm
thingiverse
I modified Modellaner's design. I aligned the openings in the front of the case for the Component RCA Jacks (and vga port). I moved the SCART Port as far back on the case as I could to help it clear the RGBS Header internally, so it doesn't get significantly in the way. I added a switch to the back plate to use for the 75Ohm Sync Termination. I added openings for a 3.5mm Audio Jack, as well as one for a rotary encoder. The front of the case has been shaved down .25mm as one of my GBS Control boards was very tight in it. I added an opening to mount the LCD for the GBS Control into it.I included a 4mm spacer for the SCART port, these go into the gap in the port, so the screws have something solid just behind the case plastic. It was suggested to use M4 screws for the SCART, I found that M3 screws worked fine, and they hold well even without a nut on the back, but they may work loose over time. The included "alternate" HDMI Tray is a modified version of another tray. There are 2 (atleast) slightly different VGA to HDMI Adapters. The one that Modellaner posted was not the proper one for my adapter, but I found Guybrush_T's original one was proper fit for it. I did some changes to it, I found the holes were a bit small for M3 screws which split the plastic. I put oval slots in the bottom similar to Modellaner's I figured that less material wasn't a bad thing, also improved ventilation wouldn't hurt either. The other change I made to it was I made a gap below the clamp area, as there is an ic at that spot that I didn't want to be clamping. You will need 2x M3 x 10 mm screw (or 15mm with nuts) (for SCART connector)2x M3 x 10 mm screw (for HDMI output unit)2x M3 x 6 mm screw (for HDMI output unit clamp, I used smaller size screws myself)4x M3 x 35 mm screw (for housing)4x M2 x 2.5 (or 3mm max) mm screw (for LCD mounting)everything else to build the GBS C unit. The GBS C baseline build is based on Voltar's videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AVXhiTlmgoIt was revised with some newer suggestions on the wiki.https://ramapcsx2.github.io/gbs-control/My build post on this revised setup with the case is here:https://hobbytronics.home.blog/2023/12/18/a-new-improved-gbs-control-and-upgrades/
