c. 1949\nGlasgow Royal Infirmary's former Lister Ward timber is used to craft a gavel casket. A carved illustration of the original GRI building, demolished in 1912, adorns the front. The sides feature handles intricately carved with the Glasgow Royal Infirmary's emblem and motto. The back showcases Clan Jardine's emblem and motto. Inside the lid is a photograph of Andrew and William Brown. The casket contains Macewen’s theatre hammer (object number 455) and a Royal Faculty anniversary gavel (object number 456).
