Gator Grip Chip Clip
thingiverse
Was looking for a project to get familiar with printing Nylon, and saw a chip clip on here. Turns out that : - Overture's EasyNylon is, in fact, super easy to print with (for real, if your machine can hit 255C, and you have a place to dry your spool, give this filament a shot!) - The original design had some serious room for optimization. - The fulcrum in the center did not have any centering features - The teeth were a little close together for the material I was using - The bite strength (spring preload as installed) was not what I was looking for, but I'm the kind of person who thinks that old school wooden clothes pins are 'about right' for clamp pressure. So, I jumped on Solidworks and threw this variation together. The teeth are both large and progressive, favoring a bite on the leading edge of the clip, the center fulcrum makes for a nice rigid clamp, and there are a couple of different jaw clearances available to fit your machine's capability.
