The model boasts many animatable features such as hatches, guns, rudder, rear and forward planes, antennas, and propellers; however, water is not included. These Gato-class submarines were launched during WWII, being the first mass-production US submarine class. Alongside the Balao and Tench classes, they formed the majority of the United States Navy's World War II submarine fleet.
