The version available is specifically designed for 15mm wide belts, featuring a main body of 50mm in diameter. The entire design is parametric, allowing for adjustments as needed. To ensure the belt stays centered, the idler surface has been crowned to provide optimal alignment. A flag is included to print a small test piece, verifying if the bearing's outer diameter (OD) is correctly positioned on the bearing. This test should require a moderate amount of force to insert the bearing; it's recommended to print this piece first and adjust the Bearing OD in the SCAD accordingly. The hardware stack is carefully configured to enable full tightening of the nuts without applying excessive stress to the bearings. A spacer situated in the middle absorbs any potential force, ensuring the bearings remain within their safe operating parameters. Before utilizing the assembly, it's crucial to remove a bridging layer that has been integrated into the design. To assemble the hardware stack: 1. Begin by spinning on a nut, followed by the addition of a washer, then a bearing, another washer, and finally another nut. 2. Securely tighten this lower assembly. 3. Proceed with placing the printed idler body onto the stack. 4. Next, add a washer, a bearing, another washer, and conclude with a nut. 5. Finally, tighten the entire stack to ensure all components are securely in place.
