The SLS 5 is basically a super light 5" concept designed around 20x20 stacks and ~20g 2204 motors. So please keep in mind that this frame is very specifically intended for ultralight setups and you choice of components should be adjusted to that. I have some recommendation in the setup below. If you want to know more about the frame and the difference between the RS5 and SLS5 check out my [Youtube Video](https://youtu.be/c7NxBOMGf2s). Frame Specs ---------------------- - 50g including steel hardware and Canopy (sub 200g builds are no problem) - Stretch-x - 20x20 stack mounts - Pod with slot for linear antenna and space for 19mm cams Required Hardware -------------------------------- - 2x M3x16 - 6x M3x14 - 8x M3 nut (get some alloy ones to save weight) - 1x M3x8 grub screw (Optional) How to get the Carbon Parts ------------------------------------------ The stl. files are just part of this post in case you want to test print the frame and check if all your components fit. To be usable you need to send the .dxf files to a CNC service and have the carbon parts cut for you. - 1x Bottom Plate (4mm) - 2x Topplate (2mm) - 4x Arms (4mm) make sure they are cut along the weave! Popular CNC Services: - USA: [CNC Madness](http://www.cncmadness.com) - Germany: [AHLTec](https://www.ahltec.de) - France: [CNCDrone](https://www.facebook.com/CNCDrone) - You can also buy the frame directly from [Armattan Productions](https://armattanproductions.com/pages/kit_detail/2229) They will usually charge you around $30 **Update:** For Europe there is now the option to buy a complete Frame from [Smartshapes](https://www.smartshapes.de/de/?cat=c59_Gatehunter-gatehunter.html) My recommended setup ============================== - **Motors:**Unfortunately are not a lot of motor options for this kind of build and none of them are really cheap. The ones I would recommend are those the [Xnova 2204 2500kV](http://bit.ly/xnova2204), [Proton-X 2204-2750kv](http://bit.ly/2HCHLxO) the [Hyperlite 2204 Floss Series 2522KV](http://bit.ly/2Mc9vh3) and rotoramas [Katana 2204](https://www.rotorama.de/motory/rotorama-katana-2204-2700kv) - **Camera:** To save some extra grams you can use one of the new 14mm cams. They come with an adapter to fit the 19mm mounts! - **Stack:**The Mamba [F405 Mini](http://bit.ly/2K1T8AK) is the best choice if you are on a budget. Diatone simply has the best board layouts in my opinion. If you have a more comfortable budget they also have the [F722 Mini](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vGKDF4uYVL) with an amazing 6S 30A rating. - **RX:** The [XM](http://bit.ly/2HVTkiA) is a super small and cheap FrSky RX that I use on all build where I don't need Crossfire. - **VTX:** The best budget option is this [cheap alternative to TBS nano](http://bit.ly/2JHV1mL) or the [Original TBS Nano32](http://bit.ly/2XsPnZc ) - **Props:** The very light [T-Motor 5143](http://bit.ly/2YM2XqI) are the best prop for the SLS out of all the ones I tested. In general these setups need light tri-blade low pitch props. The heavier high pitch props I tried completely ruined the flight characteristics (loss of throttle resolution and quad control). Changelog ========= - 16.09.2019 Release - 16.09.2019 Added V1.1 Arms. They are more durable and slightly shorter
