Here we go, the Gatehunter RS5 design now free to use for the FPV-racing community! I just didn't see any added value anymore in being the middleman between the CNC-services and you guys (and girls). You can simply take the .dxf files and have the frame cut for you. I have a few recommendations for CNC-Services below (I'm not affiliated to any of them). Please check out the online [Build Guide](https://www.gatehunter.com/rs-series). It will help you a lot to assemble the frame, & choose components that fit. **Carbon Parts you need to get:** - 1x Bottom Plate (5mm) - 2x Topplate (3mm) - 4x Arms (5mm) make sure they are cut along the weave! - 1x Optional Brace (4mm) **Required Hardware** - 2x M3x20 - 6x M3x16 - 8x M3 nut - 2x M3x10 grub screw Recommended CNC Services ------------------------------------------ - USA: [CNC Madness](http://www.cncmadness.com) - Germany: [AHLTec](https://www.ahltec.de) - France: [CNCDrone](https://www.facebook.com/CNCDrone) - You can also buy the frame from [Armattan Productions](https://armattanproductions.com/pages/shop_product_grid/4180) They will usually charge you around $30-35 **Update:** For Europe there is now the option to buy a complete Frame from [Smartshapes](https://www.smartshapes.de/de/?cat=c59_Gatehunter-gatehunter.html) **Setup and recommendations:** =========================== **2019 Best Value Build** --------------------------------- - **FC+ESC:** [Mamba F4](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/K3D3E6CvAU) This is just the best cheap stack out there! I have a bunch of them and never encountered any issues. - **Motors:** [Emax Eco 2207](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vGKK5orsBS ) I use the version 1900kv on 6S with a throttle limit between 70-90% depending on the track. These motors are hands down the best value for money available at the moment. - **VTX:** [This one](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/D33Dp75OUa ) from HGLR is a super cheap alternative to the TBS unify nano if you are on a budget - **FPV Cam:** [The Micro Swift 2](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vv3mdMW0vK ) is a classic. Can't go wrong with that one. - RX:[Frsky R-XSR](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/GGG3FD7iSk ) - **Antenna:** [Foxeer Lollipop](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3KvKPLczRD) **2019 High End Build:** ---------------------------------- - **FC+ESC:** I'm personally not using anything fancy in terms of ESCs. My favourite is still the [Holybro Kakute F4](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DmmGPaCUyT) because it has been super reliable and performs great. Since the Mamaba F4 offered such a great value for money I'm super excited about the new [Diatone Mama F7](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/mDvGtlr2Yo) but couldn't test it yet. What I wouldn't recommend is the Hobbywing Stack. It performs fine but I really didn't link the layout and that you have to use a shitty connector with stiff wires for hooking up the cam and VTX instead of direct soldering. - **Motors:** [IFlight Xing 2206](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/KKmmFLCAeM) These motors are super beautiful! I use the 2206 instead of the more common [2207](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/DDvvFlIJ7d) to shave off some weight (28 vs 31g). The 1850kV on 6S have more than enough power and I usually have a throttle limit. - **VTX:** [TBS Nano32](https://www.team-blacksheep.com/products/prod:unifypro32_nano) to save a few grams - **FPV Cameras:** I personally prefer the new big sensor CMOS cameras with their nice almost HD looking FPV feed like the [Ratel](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vv3mHoIHEz) , the [Micro Eagle](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/D3vDVOZVyF) and especially the [Phoenix Oscar](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3GvDtoIPyj ) I tried all of them and they are all really good in my opinion. I guess it finally just comes down to personal preferences around the field of view etc. Check out some YT videos if you aren't sure. - **RX:** [Crossfire Nano RX](http://bit.ly/2Kq2G8Z) - **Antenna:** [Foxeer Lollipop](https://www.banggood.com/custlink/3KvKPLczRD) Changelog ========= -**17.06.2019:** Removed the separate post for the canopies and put them all here -** 24.07.2019:**Arms and Brace for 6 Inch version added
