Gate Catch
thingiverse
My back gate's latch was in a sorry state and the wind had taken its toll on it. I was using a bent coat hanger to secure it, but I knew I could do better. So I created a model and printed this new latch. Maybe it will be an inspiration for you to make things that are useful to you. Print Settings Printer: My3D Printer300Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.26mm Infill: 15% Notes: Two shells. Trying out MakerGeek's Raptor high-temp PLA. We'll see how well it holds up to the elements. I may redo it eventually in PET. Post-Printing I assembled it with a M5x10 socket head screw and a M5 locknut. How I Designed This I used Onshape to create the model. I added a wavy spring to give a little give, and inner spikes to hold the post strap in place.
