Gate 53 is a custom-designed game insert specifically tailored for the Now Boarding board game from Fowers Games. This innovative solution eliminates the need for baggies, saving valuable time when setting up and putting away the game. Crafted as a single piece, Gate 53 fits perfectly within the exact dimensions of the game box. The top of the box accommodates the board, setup card, and manual while maintaining the original box profile when closed. This insert provides stability even when stored on its side or carried, ensuring all pieces remain in place. Key features of Gate 53 include: - Pieces are arranged in a format similar to how players build their planes. - A concealed area beneath the tail pieces stores anger cubes discreetly. - Card and tile compartments have side cutouts for effortless loading and unloading, as well as push-through holes at the bottom for easier unloading if desired. - The cockpit compartment features risers that enable storage of two engine tiles, optimizing the overall profile. - Timers are strategically positioned to secure the board's place within the box when it is closed. - A plane hanger on the right side stores each plane in an individual slot. - Players can set up, play, and store the game without needing to remove the insert from the box if desired. Due to size constraints, this insert does not accommodate sleeved cards. Gate 53 measures approximately 230mm in width. Note that its height is slightly too short to store all engine upgrades within a single compartment. To address this issue, two upgrade tiles are stored under the cockpits, which feature risers that allow the cockpits to sit flush with the top of the insert.
