GasMask Respirator Mod
thingiverse
I'll take the female bayonet connector because it's necessary for what I'm doing! The connectors on those "boats" aren't working out as well as I had hoped. To fix them, I'd need to redesign the boats themselves, but I don't know if that will happen anytime soon. Instead, I used a Dremel to modify mine and added some hot glue to hold it together. When printing respirators without support on a raft, they turn out pretty well and clean up easily, unless you're using a very stringy filament. To get them looking their best, I used light sandpaper and took my time cleaning up the drool loops inside. That was about it. As for the boats, I recommend designing your own using the model I provided or that same shape. Make sure to include some taper on the inside so they can be wedged into the filters snugly. I tried to make this build as universal as possible, allowing different adapters to work with various masks.
