These tar pits originally have no joint, sealing occurs by interlocking, but with use, they are no longer watertight. I designed a kit that includes a small gasket for the cap part and a larger one for filling through the large opening when unscrewing the gourd. The big gasket must be a flat plate at the bottom of the white part, which screws onto the gourd's bottom. I used a precision flathead screwdriver to push the gasket as high as possible while ensuring it was flat and untwisted. Fitting the small gasket in the lid is straightforward. UPDATE: Sometimes the central seal falls out of the dishwasher, so I created a more precise model with a lip that holds it firmly in place. Be cautious, as the lip is barely visible; position it towards the gourd, not towards the cork's bottom! I initially made this file available for free but refuse to allow it to be resold in a pack or used in commercial contexts. If you're interested in using my creation, please contact me directly.
