Gas pedal mount for E46
thingiverse
If your BMW's cable-driven gas pedal mount breaks off, and you don't want to rip out all your carpeting to weld in a new one, this solution might be just what you need. This fix should work for any E46/36/39 with cable-driven pedals - it's been tested on an E46 so far. To install, place the piece where the old mount used to be, recessed into the carpeting and touching the floor pan. The recess at the bottom is designed to fit a bolt with an 8.2mm diameter and 3mm deep head, along with a 4.8mm threaded section - though these dimensions can be adjusted if you have different hardware. Rotate the piece so that the two screw holes face downwards. You'll need to drill two small holes into the floor pan and secure it from underneath the car using some bolts. A little rubber sealant will keep everything weather-tight. To get the pedal to fit properly, shave down the tabs on either side of the lock tab inside the mounting piece until they're flat.
