Gas Jug Fuel Cap

Gas Jug Fuel Cap

Gas jug fuel cap, fits my 1 gal plastic jug perfectly. The original cap broke easily, so I created a few versions with added support and holes for 3mm metal tube to accommodate a model fueling station. To ensure a secure fit, you'll need to add a seal between the cap and the jug - rubber works well. My version with a detachable topcap is 4mm thick, possibly too thick for the rubber seal that came with the jug if it's available. If you'd like it thinner, let me know; I'm unsure about its strength. I printed this design and tested screwing it onto my jug - it fits tightly, thanks to an additional 0.1mm relaxed measurement for the thread. I haven't tested how fuel-resistant PLA and PETG filament are yet, but I plan to print with PLA and coat it with epoxy for the one I'll be using with gasoline. The ones with holes printed fine; they screw in smoothly. Now, I'm considering using flex filament to make the seal... wondering if it will hold up against gasoline or methanol fuel.
