The use of toxic plastics in 3D printing has raised concerns over airborne solid particle values, comparable to smoking levels. To alleviate this issue, I have designed a solution specifically for Prusa i3 printers, although it can be adapted for single-frame setups. The design features a Nidec VA450DC fan (replaceable with one of the same dimensions: 105 mm between bolts and 120 mm wide), M4 x 50 bolts (matching the Nidec thickness at 38 mm), and an aluminum flexible tube for gas extraction via a top connection.
