Garud-500 GPS Mast

This is a straightforward installation process for a ceramic antenna GPS module on VarunHeta's innovative Garud-500 DIY Drone design. To add autonomous features like iNav or Return to Home and Follow Me capabilities via Betaflight, simply position your GPS module in this mast for optimal reception. It fits snugly into any corner's nearest-to-center arrow-shaped holes with a press fit, featuring a snap-in edge on the tip. If the fit is too loose, apply some glue to the part that passes through the arm or install an M2 screw in the tip protruding into the arm's cavity. The GPS dome base attaches securely to the rod using a 10mm long M3 tapered head bolt. The dome lid snaps onto the base effortlessly, requiring no additional supports in most cases. For added durability, print the rod at a higher infill setting while keeping the upper and lower dome settings at 30% or lower. This design ensures a minimum of 16mm clearance between the dome perimeter and the prop tip, even with 10-inch props installed. However, it may interfere if using 12-inch props, which were not intended for this craft according to the author's description.
