Garter Bar / Transfer Comb - Silver Reed SK155
thingiverse
A garter bar / transfer comb is used in the Machine knitting community for removing a partially knitted garment from the knitting machine turning it around and being able to place it back onto the knitting needles. The measurements to create this Garter bar were taken (thanks to @BeritLyhne) from a Silver Reed SK155 (9mm). Each 'bar' has 10 pins and is 90mm wide. A slot is printed on the top allowing for multiple 'bars' to be placed side by side to form one long 'bar', the slot fits a 12mmx3mm Aluminium flat bar. As a request I have increased the thickness of the comb/pins to 2mm (additional 0.5mm). There is also an option of a 20 pin version 180mm wide. Please look at the names of the STL files for the different options.
