Garmin Zümo 220 severe rain cover

The Garmin Zümo 220 is a waterproof motorbike navigation system, but how "waterproof" really is that? On August 17th, while riding through Germany's unpredictable weather, the poor Zümo got thoroughly drenched by heavy rain. Water splashed onto its mini-USB connector, resulting in malfunction due to electrical short-circuit. In defense of the Zümo, the weather was incredibly bad all day long. Riding without navigation in pouring rain isn't my style, so I decided to design a waterproof cover for it. This would only be necessary during heavy downpours, which seem to find me more often than not. My first attempt at constructing this cover is quite basic and loose-fitting. However, the concept seems promising, although I suspect that the top-end might be slightly too tight around the lock switch. Upon closer inspection, I'll need to adjust it accordingly. I've also printed a fastener point to attach the cover quickly using a rubber band. A more secure option would be to bolt it on, but for now, super-glue will have to do. Clearly, this is a work-in-progress project. One of my main concerns is getting the 2 lofts in the design just right. Since the body angles differ between the side and top of the Zumo (50° and 30°), it's challenging to align them properly. I'll need to revisit this aspect. Another issue I encountered was merging the 3 body components into a single unit, which caused an error. Fortunately, 3D Builder helped me resolve the problem by storing the corrected file under "cured." More research is required on this front as well. For now, my focus is on testing whether this makeshift cover will keep water away from the mini USB connector.
