Garmin Vivosport Band Adapter
thingiverse
I love my Garmin Vivosport watch, but I'm not crazy about the non-replaceable band. It's just not very rugged. Instead of dealing with factory repairs and replacements, I designed this adapter. It takes the Vivosport body (with bands removed) and works with an affordable 18mm sports watch band from Amazon: http://a.co/d/6vImXdV. This was a proof-of-concept to see how well a PLA print would hold up to daily use. After six months of pretty rough treatment, the only issue is some paint residue, drywall compound, and thinset mortar from a bathroom renovation that I still can't clean off completely. (The last picture in the set above shows the original print alongside a new one.) I tried printing this upside down with no supports, then upside down with supports, but neither worked well. So, I printed it right-side up with supports - not my first choice - to get a better finish. You might have more luck with a different printer setup. If you've got a Vivosport with a busted band, give this adapter a try before giving up on your watch.
