<p>The Garmin Varia Vision heads-up display is an amazing piece of technology that mounts on your riding glasses and delivers all the information you would like to see while you are riding - without taking your eyes off the road.</p> <p>It expects a flat edge on your sunglasses for the its coupling plate. Unfortunately, Rudy Project Rydon glasses have a very sharp angled edge; totally unsuitable for mounting the Garmin.</p> <p>This absolutely tiny project provides a coupler that clips to the right arm of the Rydon and provides a secure platform for the coupling plate. I print a couple of layers at 0.2mm and then the rest at 0.1mm. This provides a good finish for what is a very tiny piece of material. The Simplify3D .factory file is included - you can load it and change to your printer if you use Simplify3D (which I highly recommend)</p> <h3>How I Designed This</h3> <p>Rhino3D is the wonder too. .3dm file included. For those without access to the right tools I have also included an STL with both left and right adapters - they are not entirely symmetric so if you want it on the left or just try both options that's the STL you will need.</p> </p></p></p> Category: Sport & Outdoors
