Garmin Varia Strap Mount - Printed Quarter-Turn Mount
thingiverse
This is a mount to allow a Garmin Varia to be fitted to the blinky loop/LED light loop commonly found on saddle bags and cycling messenger bags/rucksacks. This version has the [quarter-turn mount designed by elmanu](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2664759) included in the print. There is also an [alternative version that accepts a ready-made quarter turn mount plate](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5457322) that you can buy cheaply from EBay/Amazon/AliExpress. There are three needed parts - the main mount, a spacer and the rear piece. The main mount comes in angle options from 5 degrees up to 45 degrees (the fillet details go a bit strange for the 5 degree option); for my saddle bag and rucksack, I found that 15 or 20 degrees was right. The spacer and rear piece both have "narrow" and "wide" options; these give options for different thickness of the strap to which it will attach. A single-thickness ordinary piece of webbing will need both "narrow" options, whereas a double-thickness strap should use both "wide" options. They can be mixed (one narrow, one wide) to give an intermediate option. The mount requires 2 M3x8 socket cap bolts and 2 M3 Nylock nuts for assembly.
