Garmin sandbag GPS mount to GoPro mount conversion

I had one of these Garmin dash sand bag mounts for a 12 year old GPS that I'd been storing away and never use, so I decided to repurpose it as a GoPro mount. The Garmin units come equipped with a non-slip rubber pad on the backside and four pouches filled with a weighted material that makes this mount ideal for temporary installations. In California, mounting anything directly onto the windshield is strictly prohibited, just like those suction cup mounts.
