In the past, I crafted a holder for my GPS device due to a lack of specific units for various GPS makes and models. Initially, I used an electronic enclosure, but it was far from ideal or professional-looking. However, with a 3D printer at hand, I designed a custom box that significantly enhances aesthetics and usability. The lower section is currently required to accommodate the power cable attachment. My plan is to remove the standard power cable and integrate a power connector into the base of the holder, thus eliminating the unsightly cable. Since I also use it in my car, I'll leave it there permanently. To print without support material, I divided the lower tray section in two, incorporating a lip/groove feature for accurate mating. After printing and gluing the halves together, simply snap the lid/cover's hinge pins into the tray's side holes. The front cover features a snap hook to keep it closed securely.
