The car's window cup never sticks properly and is hard to use, but I have to remove the GPS from my vehicle when parking because people keep breaking the windows to steal my GPS units. Now this mount makes it much easier to use, allowing me to simply drop the GPS on the dashboard and it's ready to go. I attach (my first two versions) to the dash with Gorilla Glue... it sticks very well and when I remove the old version to install the new mount, it's relatively easy to clean off the Gorilla Glue to start again.
