Garmin mount for Ø 26 mm handlebar
thingiverse
I designed a Garmin mount for Edge 520 or 820 that fits Ø 26 mm handlebars perfectly. The distance between the clamps is 33 mm, so it seamlessly attaches to my Cinelli 1A stem without any issues. The axle of the hinges is made from a 12 mm long piece of Ø 2 mm spoke wire, providing stability and support. I drilled Ø 1.9 mm holes in the mount itself for the axle to fit snugly, using a Ø 2.0 mm drill bit to get the perfect size. For the axle hole in the small brackets on top, I used a Ø 2.1 mm drill bit so they can move freely along the axle. Now it's time to assemble all the parts carefully and tap the axles into place with a hammer. The fit is tight enough that the axles won't come loose again. Additionally, I need two cylindrical M3 hex screws with a thread length of 14 mm and two M3 self-locking nuts to secure everything in place. The nut fit is also very snug, so I might have to pull them in using an M3 screw and a washer. The interlocking piece of the mount comes from the original Ø 31.8 mm Garmin handlebar mount. To attach it, simply unscrew the 2.5 mm hex bolts and transfer it to my printed one. That's it, I'm done!
