Garmin GPSMap 78 mount "The Ugly One"
thingiverse
This Garmin GPSMap 78 mounting case may lack in style but it has consistently proven to be highly effective under tough conditions. I used this to secure my GPS unit to my motorbike's handlebars, and during a first two-day test that covered approximately 500km of rough gravel roads, forestry tracks, and river crossings, it performed flawlessly. Features: A hole for the wrist strap is provided so you can easily tie the GPS around the handlebar in case this remarkable piece of engineering fails to live up to my expectations. Another hole allows for easy plugging in of a charger or external antenna. You have two options: either use the second STL file with a ball model to connect the case to a RAM Mount style system, or design and build your own mounting system. Print Settings Printer: Flashforge Dreamer Infill: 90% Notes: Be sure to rotate the ball model on its side before printing to achieve maximum strength.
