Garmin GPSmap 696 replacement knob

Garmin will supposedly replace the broken/missing knob on a GPSmap 696 if you are willing to spend $600 to send the whole unit in for a flat-rate factory refurbishment/repair. They will also sell you a bag of 10 for $25 (Part#430-00035-10), but if you only need a single knob then that may be excessive and wasteful. Or perhaps you just want to print this as a temporary knob until you can get an official replacement part. The inner hole diameter is designed slightly larger than it needs to be. This is because the printing tolerances caused the opening to be too tight otherwise. If you find that the printed knob is a little too loose and falls off too easily, then I recommend adding a dab of RTV silicone inside the hole before installing it.
