Garmin GPS mount for 2017 Ford Super Duty

I searched quickly for a GPS mount option in my 2017 Super Duty and came up with this little mount for the dashboard V area. It's mounted using double-sided tape, which proved to be a good choice. To get better print results, I split the model into two pieces. After printing, I used epoxy to join them together. A slight curve on the facing edge helps align it with my original drawing, but you can position the ball wherever works best for your setup. I used support during printing to keep the ball stable. The model size is perfect for ABS printing and when printed in PETG, the ball required more sanding to fit properly into Garmin's mount socket. I've been using this mount with my RV770 GPS and it's quite big, which makes it prone to flexing due to vibrations from dirt road travel. As a result, my double-sided tape started to let go, so I created a small brace to counteract the flex forces. This simple post only needs a dab of epoxy on its end once everything is mounted with double-sided tape. I'm still not satisfied with the mount bracket because sticky tape on a wedged angle isn't holding up as a long-term solution that stays stuck. However, it works well enough as long as I don't leave the heavy GPS device on it while parked in the sun on hot 100-degree days. To keep things tidy, I added power cable clips, which have been working great for routing cables nicely up the dashboard.
