Garmin GNS 530 - Printable

This is a remix of allanglen's amazing work. I wanted to print it since I do not have a laser like he does. The hole tolerances for switches, pots, screen, and my Propwash dual rotary encoders were all quite a bit too small. I converted his SVG files to DWG and traced them out in SolidWorks where I could then extrude and change the hole sizes. I counter sunk the holes for the screws so they don't have to be drilled. Get the knobs, buttons, etc from the original upload by allanglen. This is a work in progress but is ready to be printed and used as is. It's just a WIP because I intend to update it if I have time. I printed the buttons at 97% scale and didn't have to sand them. A tiny dab of hot glue holds them on well and they can be removed without much trouble if need be. If you print the face plate with the bezel as one piece like I did, you can "sink" the faceplate into the print bed in your slicer on the Z axis until it sits flat and only needs support under the rotary encoder cutouts. No need to print it with the bit that makes it hover above the bed. I intend to trim this out in SolidWorks at some point but for now this is how I printed mine. I would like to make a few minor changes to this in the future. The holes for the screen clips on the hardware mount side should be a bit smaller, I skipped the screws there and used a bit of hot glue for now. I'd like to make another version with raised lettering so it could be printed in white, painted, and sanded. I might make some changes to the electronics mount to accommodate the arduino pro micro and leo bodnar board I'm using in place of multiplexers. I'd also like to make pot knobs with a bigger base to cover up the mounting nuts. Let me know if you have any issues so I can fix them. I used an Arduino Pro Micro running the Arduino Joystick Library, it can do 14 buttons and three analog axis. I had a Leo Bodnar board laying around which I used for the remaining rotary encoders and buttons. It works 50% in FS2020, the devs need to give us home cockpit builders some love before it will be 100% compatible. The screen will work, coms can be changed, most of the buttons like enter, direct to, zoom, etc will not work. It will work 100% in X-Plane and P3D, FSX etc. Use this to turn arduino pro micro or leonardo into a joystick/HID device https://github.com/MHeironimus/ArduinoJoystickLibrary I used this Arduino sketch https://www.tinkerboy.xyz/arduino-usb-gamepad/ I used these rotary encoders https://www.propwashsim.com/store/dual-encoder-kit Hold right ALT and click the Garmin GNS screen in FS2020 to pop out the window and move it to your printed Garmin. Hit ALT+ENTER to make it full screen.
