Garmin Forerunner Wristband Extension

Garmin Forerunner Wristband Extension

I recently purchased a Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS watch, and I'm extremely satisfied with its performance, but unfortunately, the provided wristband was just slightly too small for my wrist since it comes in only one size. To resolve this issue, I took the initiative to create an extension element that's approximately 10 mm longer. This adjustment enabled me to comfortably fit two additional extension elements onto the watch, providing a snug and secure fit on my wrist. To integrate these new elements with the existing strap, I purchased an extra Garmin wristband (model code: 010-11251-28) and used the strong bolds and nuts that came with it for precise installation. I ensured seamless integration by printing the extensions in the same black color PLA as the rubber wristband itself. The result is a perfectly matching factory-designed look that makes the addition virtually indistinguishable from the original part. This solution should also work flawlessly with the FR 220, which utilizes the identical-sized strap. The Sketchup design was created using Sketchup Make 2014. The UltiMaker 1 (2011Q1 model) printer, upgraded with all available official enhancements and equipped with a heated bed featuring a glass sheet on top, proved ideal for printing these extensions. Here are the detailed instructions: 1. Simply print the provided design files. 2. Perform any necessary fine-tuning. To prepare this project, you'll need the following materials: * PLA or ABS filament * A spare Garmin extra wristband (part number: 010-11251-28), approximately €19
