Garmin Forerunner Watchband Adapters
thingiverse
I have oversized wrists and that's why I fell in love with Pharaoh's wristband extension for my Garmin Forerunner 235. To be honest, I strongly dislike silicone bands so after searching and not finding any alternatives, I decided to design an adapter allowing me to use a nylon watchband instead. I've printed and used the 22mm watchband adapter, but I thought it would be helpful to create more sizes for anyone who might want a different size (if you print in another size and it doesn't work or if you need a size not listed here, please let me know). I'm also working on an adapter that can be used as a paracord wristband, and I'll upload it when it's finished. After printing, I've had the best results using small drill bits to clean out the holes for the Garmin band pin (~5/64) and the watch snap pin (~1/16). You don't need to make the holes bigger; just rounding them perfectly was helpful. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: It doesn't matter. Supports: It doesn't matter. Resolution: .1mm Infill: 35% Notes: I wanted these to be as smooth as possible, so I printed them slowly (@30mm/s) and at high resolution (.1mm). I also printed them with a 35% infill, which is almost solid for something this size. Lay the print flat when you're done for best results.
