I replaced the worn-out buttons on my trusty Garmin Forerunner 305 after it served me faithfully for 12 years. New replacements have proven to be a great upgrade. To install them, I carefully removed the rubber covering that held the original buttons in place. Cutting along the grooves of the new buttons ensures they fit perfectly. Adding a small dab of glue to the back side gives them a bit more grip. Electrical tape keeps everything secure, even if it's not fully waterproof. So far, these makeshift replacements seem to be holding up remarkably well.
