Garmin Fenix 5x bicycle mount, 3 versions
thingiverse
I designed three bicycle mounts for a Garmin Fenix 5x watch, keeping things practical rather than fancy. The designs are based on a simple yet effective geometry. Version "steerer cap mount" replaces the topcap on your steerer or stem with a M6 counter sunk screw. A notch at the bottom fits into the groove of your stem and prevents the mount from rotating. Version "out front mount" is an insert for a genuine Garmin Edge mount. All you need are two additional M3 hex screws and nuts (self-locking) to replace the original insert with your printed one. Version "stem mount" is strapped to your stem via two zip ties, making it suitable for stems with a body diameter of 34 mm. However, it should also work on slightly larger diameters. A small pocket at the bottom allows you to glue in some old inner tube material to prevent slipping or rotation. All three mounts need to be printed sideways so that the filament follows the shape of the clip and avoids deformation while mounting the watch. I used PLA+, a 0.15 mm layer height, and 2.5 mm wall thickness. Supports are necessary for proper printing. A stop underneath the clip prevents deformation over time and allows enough movement to securely attach or detach your watch. After using mine for over a year with nearly three rides per week, I've had no issues whatsoever. Have fun printing and enjoy your rides!
