A mount for the Garmin Chirp beacon designed specifically with geocachers in mind, intended to minimize theft of the device. The available files include: chirp.stl - This file provides a 3mm countersunk design, allowing for smooth mounting. chirp-5mm.stl - The second option is ideal for those requiring flush mounting holes, and offers a 5mm mounting hole diameter. Print Settings Recommendations: Use the following settings for optimal results: Rafts: Required Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm is the recommended setting for clear prints. Infill: For added strength and durability, infill should be set to 50%. Important Notes on Design: This mount requires support but should come out cleanly once removed. Post-Printing Steps: Remove any support material carefully after the print has completed. The Initial Inspiration: When designing this custom case, accurate dimensions were taken from a Garmin Chirp in my possession. I aimed for a snug fit around the device, minimizing wasted material while still ensuring structural integrity through strong prints. Design Modification Section: If desired, you can edit the mounting hole locations by using SketchUp files that are available. This allows flexibility to tailor the mount specifically to your needs.
