Garmin Aera 660 Battery Door
thingiverse
Last year I purchased a Garmin Aera 660. It came with a bad battery. I worked with the company and finally got the battery replaced but no battery door. I lost it. It has to be here somewhere? I call my Garmin dealer Sarasota Avionics and Ryan Van Kirk was very helpful. He finds a part number and a price but Garmin does not sell them. They sell the battery door for the Garmin Area 550 for $10. This one is going to cost 4 times that. Well, beggars can't be choosers. I tell Ryan - send me a new one so I can find the one I lost the next day! But wait... I am really good at making .... making anything. Ya, a few hours later, thanks to FUSION 360 and AUTODESK - here is your Battery Door for a Garmin Aera 660. It fits tight and is not coming out. I did it in white PLA to make it easy to see for photos and as a reminder not to lose things. Having made this one, the original door still alludes me.
