Gargoyle Soap Dish

Gargoyle Soap Dish

I wanted my soap to drain out the face of a bat-like gargoyle instead of turning to mush - and now your soap can too! This is a self-draining soap dish intended for placement near a sink basin. I couldn't find a standard soap size, so I based the dimensions off a Yardley soap bar, measuring 3.5 in. x 2 in. x 1.5 in. The 123D Design file is provided to allow customization to suit your needs. Have fun! Print Settings Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.20 Infill: 12% Notes: The concave interior covers a generous amount of sparse infill, so print with at least 4 solid layers on the top of the model and at least 2 on the bottom. Material I use green HatchBox ABS filament for prints intended as working objects. It bonds well and prints consistently for all shapes and sizes. The infill can go as sparse as 5%, but only if you have confidence that your filament and temperatures will bridge properly. Temperature and Cooling The print shown in the photos and video was extruded at 230 C with a heated bed temperature of 90 C. The fan was turned to 10% after 10 layers (so in effect, after the raft was complete). Supports are not needed inside the mouth unless there are bridging problems. Post-Printing
