Gargoyle - photogrammetry scanned model
thingiverse
I captured a gargoyle from my garden with my camera and uploaded it into Agisoft photoscan. 81 high-resolution photographs were taken using my Nikon D800 DSLR in TIFF format. Each TIFF was approximately 60 megabytes in size, totaling 5.18 gigabytes of images imported into photoscan. The camera settings were focal length 48mm, f22 aperture, and a 125-second exposure time. I also limited the ISO to no more than 1000 and turned off autofocus, instead using the lens focus ring for final adjustments. Photoscan generated 88,173 tie points from my input images. I then processed these points at high quality settings, which took around 4.5 hours to complete a dense cloud with 7,220,375 points. Finally, meshes and textures were created in approximately 10 minutes each.
